Students collectively work on short poems encouraging teenagers to avoid bullying each other. By using rhythmic language students believe they will best captivate young minds to follow their direction for a greater good. These students strive to encourage their friends and family to make a positive decision when dealing with teenage bullying. In a society where we are capable of instant communication, students feel it is imperative to disengage from teasing each other.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
