This is a look at just a few of the finished Who Am I?” Wall Hangings/Banners/Scrolls with the theme of exploring and defining identity. The purpose of this project was for students to utilize text combined with mixed media art materials to take a closer look at who they are and how they see themselves as members of society, culture and the world.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
