The South Jamaica Farms Interactive Project is an eight-week program, funded by the Verizon Foundation. DIVAS for Social Justice has worked with children from the South Jamaica Houses to make their community garden an accessible and interactive space to the rest of their community. While planting and helping out in the community garden, the children also learned about the history of virtual reality, food justice, QR code design, and how to use 360-degree cameras. The children have used what they learned to document their work and the history of the garden, all to be shared with virtual visitors, here!
