This week, the seventh grade has started learning about the value of healthy living and community engagement through gardening. Our focus in art now is to create a miniature scale model of the type of garden we might want to have in our local communities of southern Queens.
We can’t wait to share our finished model!
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
