Now that Linden SDA students have a deeper grasp on the art of journalism, they are equipped to prepare their newest community journalism report. From best 3-point shooter in Laurelton to covering their school’s recent Multicultural Day, the Laurelton news team brainstormed ideas for their next report and agreed on The Taste of Laurelton- an inside scoop on some of the most influential restaurants in Laurelton and how they contribute to the neighborhood’s culture. DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
