With Christmas just around the corner, the students were tasked with creating a Christmas card using Adobe Photoshop. Having spent the last few weeks learning the basic tools and functions of Photoshop, they were ready to tackle more intricate designs. The first part of the assignment was to design the front cover of the card. At the end of the assignment, the cards will be printed on cardstock and shared with their classmates. I am excited to share their finished projects.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
