Linden SDA students explored the challenging task of taking video content and editing it into a cohesive project to be broadcasted. Though students used an introduction video editing software to edit their content, they were tasked to add title, trim, and transitions to their recorded content. The students completed their hands-on journalism challenge of researching news facts, organizing them into a report, presenting and recording a news broadcast, and editing the final video. The work was hard but the results were well worth it!
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
