Another week of graphic design and the challenge for this week was a dog, a cute little dog made of shapes. The students at the Linden SDA School used Figma to create these cute dogs, at this point they are well aware of the objective (be creative, make it their own). We’ve even seen a student adding more to their design than what was in the demo and that deserves extra credit. I’ve also awarded prizes to several students for their hard work on this project.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
