Last week the sixth graders got a chance to tap into their visual and creative skills by making paintings of the city skyline. Everyone painted something unique and really enjoyed the activity. This week the seventh graders will get a chance to do the same and then we will work on creating vision boards filled with images about our passions and favorite activities.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
