The 7th grader are active intellectuals. The color lecture was met with resistance, rightfully so. Color that I as an individual see isn’t the color that my colleagues might perceive. Color is not as straightforward as taught in kindergarten. Youtuber Vsauce (Is Your Red The Same as My Red?) has interesting thesis on the topic. Colorblindness is just the tip of the iceberg, realizing what color does to our psyche is where the essence lay. Last post covered basic emotion, recalling these techniques allowed the students to learn how light is distributed throughout the visual spectrum. The assignment was to use 3 objects with red, blue and yellow, adjust focus with a wide open aperture to portray the max amount of depth. The following is there results:
