Arts and Crafts
The class will begin working on the Summer Splash Sports themed mural to support the STEAM for the Team for Social Justice. They will continue to apply the knowledge that they have learned about primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, cutting, tracing and coloring procedures.
Each student will contribute to the sports themed mural. The goal is to enhance their tracing and painting skills while applying what they have learned so far about originality, neatness and coloring techniques. Students will paint, trace and cut silhouettes of basketball players while utilizing different colored paint, construction paper, markers, pencils, crayons, colored pencils, and cut outs of basketball player silhouettes.
Each Arts and Crafts student will be working on this project for a few weeks to finalize the Mural. My goal is to make sure that each student contributes and use all of the skills and techniques that they have learned. I would like to promote as much originality and personalization as possible.
At the end, there will be preparing for a contest based on the Superhero project that the students have been working on in past weeks.
Contest Rules:
Students have been applying the knowledge that they have learned about the color wheel that displays primary, secondary, and tertiary colors.
