Our Holiday Frames from our Photography lesson came out wonderful! Students were encouraged to create paper snowflakes and candy cane felt trees that covered the frames to reflect the themes that were chosen in the beginning of our lesson. The students also helped to wrap the frames with ribbon and adorned them with bows and ornaments. We used the decorated frames for a Holiday party held at Weeksville Heritage Center over the weekend. Everyone looked amazing!
Our next project for the next couple of weeks is our Community Quilt! I cannot wait to see the design we create!
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
