For our next project over the next few days, we will be creating Holiday Picture Frames. The main goals of this project are –
- To create holiday frames that reflect Christmas Season, Kwanzaa, & Chanukuah (Season of Giving)
- To encourage students to use arts & crafts as a form a “maker activity”.
- To learn how to design and integrate 3D objects in a frame.
The main question of the day was, “What makes a good picture?” Students used undecorated frames to photograph each other using different types of shots such as the Medium shot, Medium Close Up shot, and Close Up Shot. The next question of day was, “What is your favorite part of the Holiday Season?” Students broke up into groups and answered the question. From this question, they were able to develop two themes for frame decorations. The themes for the Holiday Frames are “Winter Candy Land” and “The Present Frame.” Stay tuned for the end result!
