This school year we have decided to focus on water! With the water crisis currently taking place in Flint Michigan, and the drought in California, we feel its imperative that our participants understand whats going on and what can be done. We have used The question, “Whats in Your water?” as a theme to help guide us through some of the activities we’ve completed. Here at Macon Public Library we have conducted research, created water filters and “Walked Water” while testing color theories. Take a look!

DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
