Our garden is a living thing.
To prep for this project, we gathered in a circle where we came up with ways to take care of our garden, and went over proper ways to care for plants, because they are living things.
Our tiny box plant consist of a tiny cardboard box, artificial flowers, tissue, and pipe cleaners. Before our activity, we did an ice breaker that involved 3 beanbags. The object of this activity was to display unity and have fun, while paying attention to each other
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
