This short film about plastic wast, showed the participants how artists used Giant replicas of a standard water bottle and a Starbucks cup and straw, to show people what would happen if people keep throwing those items into the ocean, and onto the street.
Next, the group split into two, to begin building their structures!
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
