This week the students recorded a round table podcast discussion centered around economics, generational wealth and social justice. We defined what social justice means within the black community and broke down the meaning of generational wealth. We discussed the reason its hard for black people to build generational wealth in America.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
