This week we hosted an open house in the library to excite students for future projects. During the open house, students created a motorized origami frogs. Students attached tiny cell phone motors onto coin cell batteries, then they taped it on to their frogs. They came out great and were super cute. During this activity, students were challenged to place the motor in different places in order to change the movement of the frog!
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
